The Moving Meditation fuses the health benefits of walking with the sacred practice of meditation to develop a neuro-physiological synthesis designed to rejuvenate and stimulate our wellbeing.
The physical body is just one aspect of our being, but positioned within the physical body exists other aspects of ourselves referred to as subtle bodies. We have an emotional subtle body, a mental subtle body and several other energy bodies that distribute the life force and imbue within us the aspects of health and vitality, Due to life's stressors such as poor nutrition, a sedentary lifestyle, environmental factors, and/or one's unhealthy habits, our life force inevitably becomes blocked or weakened thus giving way to discord and ultimately disease! The Meridian Moving Meditation is a way to unblock and strengthen our life force returning us to our natural state of wholeness.
Meridian Moving Meditation is a method of harnessing the life force energy via the meridians that exist within the body and guiding that life force through the 3 main energy meridians and the 12 sub-meridians to enliven every aspect of our being. These are the same meridians an acupuncturist uses yet NO needles are used, only your focused mental awareness. We know that energy follows thought, and this basic idea is the cornerstone of anyone practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu, Reiki, Therapuetic Touch or any other energy healing modality.
Now that you understand that you will be moving energy with your mental focus, you will also be moving your physical body to further empower the flow of energy throughout your body. The movements are not random but are specifically designed to follow the meridians from one junction point to another. This style of movement can be likened to Tai Chi or Qi Gong, but is different in that the Meridian Moving Meditation uses different, yet specific movement patterns to activate the entire energy meridian system. The benefits of mindful movement are well documented, but adding knowledge of the healing arts with the self-direction of the life-force energy through specific pathways unlocks whole new dimension of health and wellness.
